What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a strategic, people-first Director of Growth to lead and evolve Clearly Filtered’s growth strategy across digital and omnichannel channels. This role sets and owns the direction for how we acquire, retain, and grow customer relationships, ensuring growth efforts support sustainable revenue, strong customer lifetime value, and long-term brand trust.
The Director of Growth will build and lead a high-performing growth team, establishing clear ownership, thoughtful prioritization, and data-informed decision-making across channels. Partnering closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, this role translates business goals into a focused growth roadmap and guides investment decisions across paid media, owned channels, marketplaces, and emerging opportunities.
You will balance performance and experimentation with long-term value creation, developing your team, strengthening the customer lifecycle journey, and continuously identifying new levers to improve efficiency, scale, and impact in a way that reflects Clearly Filtered’s values and customer-first approach.
**This role is based in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Candidates should only apply if they are able to work onsite at least 3 days per week.**
What You’ll Do
Growth Strategy & Leadership
- Own the company’s multi-year growth strategy, defining how acquisition and subscription growth support revenue, margin, and brand goals.
- Partner closely with the VP of Strategy & Revenue to translate business objectives into clear, prioritized, achievable growth roadmaps.
- Take calculated, data-backed risks to unlock growth, balancing experimentation with disciplined guardrails and clear success metrics.
- Identify and unlock new growth levers, platforms, and partnerships that drive sustainable, scalable impact.
Team Leadership & External Resource Management
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing growth team with clear ownership, accountability, and growth paths.
- Coach leaders and individual contributors to think strategically, test thoughtfully, and execute with excellence.
- Partner cross-functionally to align acquisition efforts with business priorities.
- Oversee agency and vendor relationships, ensuring partners operate as true extensions of the team and deliver meaningful impact.
Channel Ownership & Optimization
- Develop and own strategy for all digital marketing channels (paid, owned, and earned), including Meta, Google, Amazon, affiliates, email/SMS, SEO, podcasts, loyalty programs.
- Work with the e-Commerce team to optimize full-funnel performance, including CRO, landing pages, A/B testing, and on-site experience.
- Ensure experimentation, learning, and iteration are embedded into how channels evolve over time.
Budgeting & Forecasting Strategy
- Own growth forecasting and investment strategy, managing multi-million-dollar budgets with a strong balance of efficiency and long-term value creation.
- Make disciplined, data-informed decisions on where to invest, scale, or pull back based on ROI, LTV, and business priorities.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to Finance and leadership on growth opportunities.
Analytics, Insights, & Decision-Making
- Establish clear measurement frameworks, attribution models, and performance standards across the Growth team.
- Translate data into clear, strategic insights and recommendations.
- Build a culture where data guides direction, not just reporting.
Campaign & Calendar Management
- Own the integrated marketing calendar, ensuring acquisition and retention efforts align with launches, promotions, and company priorities.
- Lead cross-functional planning to ensure clarity, accountability, and seamless execution across teams.
- Anticipate risks and opportunities, proactively adjusting strategy as the business evolves.

What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience in growth or performance marketing, including at least 5 years in a people leadership role
- Proven success driving and owning scalable revenue in DTC or eCommerce environments
- Experience in CPG, product subscription, or high-growth consumer brands
- Demonstrated ability to develop teams, establish accountability, and drive sustained high performance
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets across digital channels
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with Shopify and marketplace ecosystems such as Amazon is strongly preferred

Compensation
$165,000.00 - $190,000.00 annually depending on experience, education, and qualifications.
