What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a strategic, people-first Director of Content Strategy to build and lead Clearly Filtered’s content engine. This high-impact leadership role will shape the strategic narrative, creative direction, and systems that drive brand authority, customer trust, and measurable growth. The Director of Content Strategy will own the end-to-end content ecosystem, from strategy through execution, ensuring content supports customer acquisition, conversion, and long-term brand trust as Clearly Filtered scales.
As the creative and content leader, you will oversee the Creative and Social teams while managing external partners including agencies, creators, and production partners. This role plays a critical part in helping Clearly Filtered evolve from a strong brand into a category-defining leader through intentional storytelling and world-class creative execution.
**This role is based in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Candidates should only apply if they are able to work onsite at least 3 days per week.**
What You’ll Do
Revenue-Driven Content Strategy
- Own the development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy directly aligned to revenue targets and organizational growth goals.
- Establish a unified content architecture that supports brand storytelling, demand
- generation, retention, and community growth.
- Build a structured creative testing framework in partnership with Growth to systematically improve CAC and MER.
- Translate annual revenue objectives into a measurable content roadmap tied to acquisition, retention, and product expansion.
- Establish performance benchmarks for content across paid media, PDPs, lifecycle, and organic channels.
Creative Direction & Brand Stewardship
- Lead the creative vision across video, photography, UGC, copy, packaging design, and motion
- Serve as a steward of the Clearly Filtered brand, evolving guidelines, voice, and visual standards as the company scales
- Champion storytelling grounded in customer insight and the science behind Clearly Filtered’s technology
- Ensure brand messaging and claims meet regulatory, legal, and compliance standards
Product GTM & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead content strategy for product launches from concept through post-launch optimization
- Partner with Product, Ecommerce, Growth, and Customer Service teams to align content with conversion goals and customer needs
- Oversee development of launch campaigns, PDP content, and educational product storytelling
- Ensure launch content meets predefined performance benchmarks
Customer Insights & Feedback Loop
- Partner with Customer Service to deeply understand customer questions, product
- confusion points, and sentiment trends, and educational gaps
- Translate customer feedback, support insights, and NPS data into stronger content and messaging
- Build feedback loops that continuously inform content creation, optimization, and testing
- Develop educational content that reduces customer friction and strengthens product understanding
Performance, Testing & Optimization
- Partner with Growth to improve creative performance across paid channels including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Google
- Implement structured creative testing to improve CTR, CVR, MER, and subscriber growth
- Turn campaign insights into repeatable creative playbooks and stronger future strategy
Team Leadership & External Resource Management
- Lead and develop the Creative and Social teams while fostering accountability, collaboration, and innovation
- Manage agencies, creators, freelancers, and production partners with clear expectations and budget discipline
- Define the company’s approach to AI-assisted content creation and responsible creative adoption
- Build the team structure and operating systems needed to support content at scale as the Company approaches $100M+ in revenue

What You Bring
- 8+ years of experience in content strategy, creative leadership, brand marketing, or related roles
- Experience in product subscription, CPG, or high-growth consumer brands
- Proven experience building, mentoring, and scaling teams, including managing performance, developing talent, and establishing clear accountability
- Strong understanding of performance marketing and the role content plays in profitable growth
- Strong creative instincts paired with analytical thinking and comfort using data to guide decisions

Compensation Range
$170,000.00 - $190,000.00 annually depending on experience, education, and qualifications.
