About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable People Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day execution of our People function.


This role is responsible for supporting and administering key operational processes across the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on payroll processing, benefits administration, employee changes, leave coordination, record-keeping, compliance support, and core People team administration.

This person will play an important role in helping our People Operations run smoothly and accurately behind the scenes. The right candidate is someone who is highly organized, follows through consistently, communicates clearly, and takes pride in getting the details right.

This role is based in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Candidates should only apply if they are able to work onsite at least 4 days per week.

What You’ll Do
Payroll, Benefits & Employee Administration (50%)
  • Process and support recurring payroll activities accurately and on time
  • Administer employee benefits processes, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee support
  • Support leave administration, including documentation, tracking, and follow-up
  • Ensure employee paperwork and People-related administrative items are completed accurately and on schedule
People Operations & Employee Records (25%)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, files, and People documentation
  • Manage filing, record-keeping, audits, and document organization across the employee lifecycle
  • Support compliance-related administrative processes, notices, and required documentation
  • Coordinate HR compliance training administration and tracking
  • Help ensure People processes and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Onboarding, Offboarding & Employee Lifecycle Support (15%)
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics, paperwork, systems setup, and employee transitions
  • Support offboarding coordination, documentation, and final administrative follow-up
  • Help ensure employee lifecycle processes are organized, timely, and professionally managed
  • Support recruiting and hiring logistics as needed, including interview scheduling
People Team Coordination & Process Support (10%)
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the People team
  • Help keep recurring tasks, deadlines, workflows, and follow-up items organized and on track
  • Support internal People communications, scheduling, and coordination as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive employee information

What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Payroll, Benefits, or a related role
  • Experience supporting or processing payroll and administering employee benefits
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with consistency and follow-through
  • High attention to detail and strong accuracy with data, documentation, and employee records
  • Comfort handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow established processes and complete work accurately and on time
  • Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, or leave administration
  • Strong administrative and operational skills with the ability to work independently in a support-focused role
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace / Microsoft Office and HRIS systems preferred

Compensation
$42.00 – $45.00 per hour 
(Equivalent to approximately $70,980 - $76,050 annually based on the scheduled shift of 9am - 4pm)
Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall alignment with the role.
